Our family stopped here for lunch around 11:30, it seemed to have just opened, but the buffet was just being filled as we were seated. It was fresh, no sign of pre cooked leftovers, the soup was hot, the mixed vegetables were hot and fresh. Hong Kong WB used to be fabulas, it was a great place always tasted great, consistent. Hoever they are under new owners in the past year, and ahve changes a lot of their itmes. Although its not terrible food, its really not that great. I found everything very dry, ex. won ton soup which Im huge into- was flavourelss, dry meat... sweet n sour pork, was chewy chewy chewy... The food was greasy and tasteless. The meat was tough and sinewy. We got 4 dishes that came to $60 and threw 90% of it in the garbage. There are much better places in town to pick from.
Deep fried with a side order of deep fried. If you like your Chinese food to be all the same flavour and deep fried, then you will enjoy.. Otherwise give it a miss
Horrible service, bad food, tons of msg. The decor is awful. The one thing I am impressed with is that they've been so bad for so long yet they still exist. Avoid it like the plague there are plenty of great restaurants in West Kelowna.
The chicken looks pre cooked and then thrown in a wok with sauce...like the microwave chicken at the Wokbox.. not sliced thin and stir fried fresh like a normal Chinese restaurant!! The meat in the pork dumplings is mystery meat...too light for pork ...too dark for chicken..it's a mystery to me. They are terrible. It was not a good meal to say the least.
