Prices are higher than the grocery stores, but the meat is incredible. We ended up getting a whole rib roast for ribeye steaks, have gotten 2 briskets from them, a salmon flat, beef ribs, and a pork butt. I will not go anywhere else for any meat. Secondly, they have this bourbon honey. Spoke with the owner when we went in the second time and he wanted me to let him know how it was. I'm here to say that stuff is incredible! Fantastic substitute for raw honey if using on baked goods. Secondly, I used it on some of my pork that I made and it turned out amazing! Will definitely be back for a few more bottles! Well done Z bar! Thank you for being such a great company!

They’ve even bought meat home with them to Florida.

Counter service when ordering was great as well. So glad to have an excellent choice for fresh meat in Argyle. Will definitely patronize these folks regularly.

I ordered on... read more I cancelled Butcher Box after 2 years and needed a new place for meat. I drove past this place all the time and finally decided to give them a try. I ordered one of their family boxes online and picked it up the next day. Their meat is excellent and better quality than Butcher Box. I highly recommend them.

We 've been looking for a local butcher for awhile and... read more I used to work for a butcher shop so I am pretty well versed as to what should happen at a butcher shop. We 've been looking for a local butcher for awhile and we were really excited to try this one. However, they sold us spoiled pork ribs. The package date reflects the date we bought the ribs which had already been prepackaged. Now our whole house smells like rotten pork aka sulfur/rotten eggs. We won 't be returning sad to say. Please check your meat...In response: To be fair and to the point, I did call, and I even left a message. I am not attempting to hurt you or your business, just to make people aware to be cautious and careful. Small business or not, selling something that is unsafe to consume isn 't acceptable.
