I had the pleasure of experiencing the mixed seafood platter tonight... all I can say is WOW... absolutely deliciously moorish.. it included whole prawns, smoked salmon, fresh prawns , muscles and more served with homemade brown bread.. one happy customer. We got it to take away. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Chalet Seafood:
we had dinner here 2 years ago and it was fantastic, but it has changed since then management. we ate here last week and it was so despicable! more like chipper food to restasurants preisen. asked for weinliste and was said they only have 1 red and 1 white . very expensive for what we have. will not be back. avoid them! One of the best seafood restaurants in which I was, do not stop their starter as they do not have space for a desert. the house white also went very well down. it's a pity that I live in dublin, as I would go there again and again.
Fantastic fresh fish and snuggle. good a visit for excellent seafood, most directly from the owner boat!
I had taken the seafood for two. delicious! fantastic. will definitely be back.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. It took an hour for our food to arrive, and when it did, the chips were undercooked and my husband's fish was overcooked. The mussels were good but the portion was small. The layout of the restaurant was odd and it was difficult to find the bathroom. Overall, the experience was not pleasant and my husband ended up getting more food elsewhere. The staff seemed overwhelmed, but the young girl at the counter was friendly. This tarnished an otherwise wonderful weekend in Achill.
Our special birthday meal turned out to be a disappointment. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday evening to find a new menu with limited options, such as open sandwiches, chowder, and mussels for starters, and main dishes like cod, salmon, or scampi. The seafood platter I ordered had mussels with beards still on, smoked fish that looked like scraps, and wilted salad. The chowder was watery and the homemade bread seemed like leftovers. The cod main was mediocre, and the side salad was simply a few leaves, a cherry tomato, and peppers without any dressing. The card machine wasn't working, so we had to pay cash, and the prices were higher compared to nearby pubs. Overall, the experience was disappointing compared to our previous visits when the food and selection were much better.
