Runza - Kearney
Runza
Description
Runza, a Nebraska fast-food staple, offers fresh and hot meals, but reviews reveal a discrepancy in quality. While some diners enjoy the classic Runza sandwich, many critique its diminishing flavor and authenticity. Service experiences vary widely, with reports of staff discomfort and persistent order mistakes. Although a few patrons praise the restaurant for its cleanliness and friendly staff, inconsistency in food quality, particularly with sides, detracts from the overall experience. While some customers may return for a quick bite, many express disappointment, suggesting there's room for improvement to meet the expectations of loyal fans.

The Runza sandwich was slightly undercooked and doughy, while the fries were a bit overcooked. I've dined at this Runza several times before, but this was our least satisfying experience. It felt more like an assembly line than a welcoming eatery.
We ate lunch and planned to take 18 frozen Runzas back to Kentucky and Tennessee with us, but they only had 14 in the freezer that were not frozen yet. We told them that was fine, that we would keep them in the cooler until we got home and freeze them then. They wrapped 4 more in a different color of paper and put them in the freezer to cool off while we ate! That was so thoughtful! I also LOVE that Runza has Fringles!!
Very helpful staff, we’re ready to suggest options for vegetarian and kids menu.
I’ve been to this location quite a few times and almost every time I come here they mess my order up. I never order a lot of food just a meal and it waits get messed up whether it’s then forgetting something on my sandwich. Or forgetting something completely. The fries are always too hard and barely warm. I will not be coming to this location anymore which sucks because I love runza.
