In the Sultanmet area and a great place to try some good Turkish food. Although its not too well known and ignored by many guide books our hotel concierge recommended it and we just loved the place. Its also opposite one of the better known eateries. Khorasani had fast and good service, was clean and well laid out, both indoor and alresco lunch and dining. We left it to the chef to give us the best according to him. A mixture of kebaps came with an enormous puffedup pida bread. Some green salad Yogurt and a small mezze platter with the humus and babaganoush etc. Accompanying the food we ha Aryan ...its like the Indian lassi...madeout of buttermilk and served nice and cold. A very satisfying meal topped with fruity dondurma and thicccvkkkkkk Turkish kahve!! Try it you'll love the food and atmosphere
A great spot for some fine dining down cobblestoned streets by the basilica cistern. Khorasani is lovely and dimly lit, which creates an ideal romantic atmosphere for its diners. The smells of freshly grilled kebabs regularly waft through the restaurant. I tried their eggplant kebab which was absolutely delicious and tender. The eggplant sauce was akin to a moutabel and went very well with the kebab that was tender. My vegetarian friend ordered a vegetarian filo pastry which tasted like a spring roll to me. Another ordered lamb chops that were prepared perfectly. Their house wine has a delicious spicy and smoky taste to it. Loved my dining experience here, even though the prices were a bit exorbitant. Hey, I'm on holiday so it's fine!
Great eating, friendly staff, beautiful Byzantine art decoration and especially for me: a large cup of Turkish coffee and dessert
