Ginger Thai Katy
Ginger Thai Katy
Description
Nestled in the Katy area, this Thai restaurant offers a blend of authentic flavors and homey ambiance that delights many regulars and newcomers alike. Signature dishes like mango sticky rice and panang curry receive high praise for freshness and seasoning. The cozy setting and attentive service enhance the dining experience, with accommodating staff and plentiful parking. However, some guests note inconsistencies, including occasional order errors, overpricing, and a dip in food quality. Reservations and order policies can be confusing, and customer service at times feels inattentive. Overall, it’s a promising spot with room for improvement.

Fantastic service and delicious food! We usually get takeout, but today we decided to dine in.
This was my first visit to this restaurant! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they indicated gluten-free options on the menu, which is quite rare for an Asian restaurant. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the gluten-free dishes since we didn’t try them. We ordered Pad Thai and Red Curry. The curry was fantastic, while the Pad Thai was good but a bit sweeter than I typically prefer. If you enjoy spice but in moderation, I would recommend going for the mild level. We opted for the "spicy" and found it to have a great kick!
Disappointing! I found out that I can't place an order by phone more than 15 minutes in advance, but on Uber Eats, you can order a day ahead. It's puzzling! The food is fantastic, though!
This is my go-to Thai restaurant! The cheese rolls and panang curry are absolutely fantastic and my favorite dishes. I really enjoy dining here—the portions are plentiful, and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend this place and keep returning for more. I've brought friends and family, and they've all loved it as well!
I live near this restaurant and have been a customer for years. Unfortunately, the food has been quite mediocre, especially considering they charge nearly $20 per plate, which is outrageous. Just two nights ago, I called to order a cashew dish, and the total came to $20. I couldn’t believe it, especially for the mediocre taste. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. If you're going to charge almost $20 for a plate, the quality and quantity should reflect that. It's unbelievable. I now have to search for other Thai restaurants that are further away, as it seems that once a place is established in the neighborhood, food quality no longer matters. It feels like some restaurants become complacent, knowing they’ll still attract customers because of their proximity. I refuse to support restaurants that serve mediocre food at such high prices. So please, do better.
