Contribute FeedbackEchoes restaurant in the Blue Mountains offers a dining experience with stunning views and a pleasant ambiance. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of food and service is generally good. Some diners found the serving sizes to be a bit small, but overall, the experience was enjoyable. The restaurant is recommended for special occasions and offers a minimum 3-course dinner on Saturdays, which many find worth it. The decor and seating options may not be to everyone's taste, but the attentive staff and delicious food make Echoes a memorable dining destination in the Blue Mountains.
View is wonderful. decor is lovely. good service. mushroom risotto There was a mushroom soup for lunch which seemed a bit of a double up with the mushroom risotto as well. The risotto was pre-cooked and smothered in béarnaise sauce - awful. Please don't serve risotto if you are not going to cook it on the spot. I never mind waiting 20 minutes for a delicious risotto.
Had a lovely meal with my wife whilst staying at Katoomba. The meals were cooked to perfection and brought out in a timely manner. The staff were brilliant, we didn't have to ask for anything.
Dinner for 4 people with one glass of alcohol came to $380!!! The food was good but the decor and ambiance really lets this place down. The main courses were $55 each and you were still expected to order sides to complete the meal. The service was discreet, but we had to ask for our side to be served. $30 for a bowl of icecream and sorbet might just be worth it in the daytime, when there is a view to be had, but at night you are left sitting in a room that is just a very unglamorous enclosed balcony - too small, too crowded and overlit. The place seemed popular with couples who retired to the leather lounges at the fireplace, which sounds romantic but think black leather, hexagonal black glass fireplace circa 1970s, and the diners watching.... An average dinner out and certainly not anywhere near the gorgeous experience that is Lillianfels, or even the main dining room at the Hydro Majestic.
After walking past Darley’s restaurant in Lilianfels Resort and Spa you reach the Echoes restaurant entrance. Its a superb restaurant high up in the blue mountains! Stopped in here for lunch on our recent visit to the blue mountains and I must say I was not disappointed! The views from here are unreal…so spectacular! If the weather is decent I would definitely have a table outdoors…stunning, stunning views! The food was absolutely delicious -the cocktails outstanding! The service staff was super attentive and friendly! Great spot for lunch.
We had a 3 course dinner included in our package and could not fault the quality of our meals. A good variety of choices for each course.
