Arrived in Kassel after a long day of driving and were happy to find this restaurant not far from our hotel. Staff were happy to change menu items to provide gluten free options for dinner and the food was delicious. Service was fast and efficient....Would definitely recommend. View all feedback.
What Leonhard Weber doesn't like about Eberts:
I and my family had a Saturday breakfast here. I was surprised to see how crowded this place gets on a week-end. Food was ok, but the service really bad. We had to, literally, ask for everything that they are supposed to put on the table, salt, pepper, napkins, you name it. In the end, I asked to bring a warm milk to give it to my 2 year old baby, and imagine what they brought, you ready? Boiling hot milk in a coffee... View all feedback.
We had breakfast here in June 2014 while visiting Kassel and it was excellent. I can't remember which option we ordered but it was one of the prix fixe...
Stayed across the street at Astoria Hotel. Tried other eatery options in the animated area and ended up at Eberts about every day for a week. Ever changing student staff yet pretty consistent helpful service. Kitchen is hit or miss. Sometimes excellent, then the same dish comes out less than perfect. Very reasons priced.
We stayed at the hotel across the street from the hotel. One weekday evening we visited and two of us had the special "steak" and one of us had pasta. Both dishes were excellent, we shared! We tried to visit on a weekend, with no success, the place was packed with some "reserved" tables. This was disappointing as we would have loved another meal here. We did sit outside one nice day and had a snack of white asparagus soup and some olives and bread. This was tasty. Don't hesitate to visit during the weekday but maybe need reservations during the weekend. Service was friendly and attentive.
Enjoyed an evening meal outside with fresh seasonal asparagus and salad. The pork medallions with chanterelles were also good. The main enjoyment was sitting outside enjoying the early evening sun.
Stayed in Kassel 4 nights each day chose a different restaurant for dinner. This was by far the best. A little prissy but totally worth it. I tried the steak and I liked it.
