Matcha-ya - Kapaa

All of the drinks are vegan but the whipped cream (sometimes they ask you if you want it on top of your drink) is not and the condensed milk on shave ice is not. Not sure why they don't just switch to coconut. The soft serve was soooooo good. So were the shakes. You can get miracle berries here too (makes sour taste sweet)...such a cool experience. Only thing to beware of is they use condensed milk on top of their acai bowls which we weren’t expecting as other places that serve acai bowls didn’t use it. We tried a couple of their acai bowls and thought they were the best we’ve had so far we also had acai bowls from Java Kai and Kalalea Juice Hale.

Had the matcha vanilla twist soft serve and it was amazing! Not too sweet just how I like it. Almost all their drinks are vegan as they only use soy and other non dairy milks. We also tried the strawberry lemonade sparkling drink and it was yummy. Came back and had their boba milk tea and it was also good, but the bubbles were a bit tough or old. As of 07/2021 I did not see any food items except the acai bowls and green tea mochi cakes (which contain eggs)

I was happy to see a matcha place open in Kauai since my last visit to the island. This place offers all of their drinks vegan with your choice of plant-based milk. Sadly, their ice cream is not vegan, but I hope they'll consider offering a vegan option in the future. I liked my matcha frappe and would return.
