Reviews - Java Kai
Reviews summary
Java Kai shines as a breakfast destination with its delectable menu and exceptional coffee. Highlights include the Portuguese sausage sandwich and Belgian waffle, both praised for their freshness and flavor. While the staff is generally friendly and accommodating, some reviews indicate inconsistencies in service, with occasional lapses in attentiveness. The café prides itself on its variety, offering solid vegetarian and vegan options, but cleanliness—especially in restrooms—has been noted as an area for improvement. Despite minor flaws, the overall experience is enjoyable, making Java Kai a must-visit for food lovers in Kauai.

Java Kai is a perfect spot for breakfast in Kauai, offering a variety of delicious and reasonably priced options. The coffee is exceptional, and the Surfer Girl sandwich was particularly filling and tasty. This place is a must-visit for its great food and value. However, parking can be challenging, so finding a street spot is recommended. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed every bit of it having a breakfast... View all feedback.
What Cassandre Johnson dislikes about Java Kai:
I have an online order for a Macadamia Nuts Milk Cai and it was made with cow milk. it is easy to notice when they have been consecrated for several years. I put it in the counter to explain it and ask how ordered. Apparently it was made without Mac milk and the base shark powder contains cow milk powder. they say the Thai chai has no milk so they have made it so new. I didn't cost this drink, but at least it was cru... View all feedback.

My favorite coffee shop. The food is excellent, good quality eggs. Pleasant and friendly staff. Better than anything else I've had on the island.
Long line but wait wasn’t bad. Food was delicious. Avocado toast and surfer girl were delicious and generous portions. Smoothie was good and filling with peanut butter. Would love to have tried a dessert/treat but didn’t make it back. Kapa’a has a really good food scene. But expect any outdoor dining to include chickens. :
Busy place! Good drinks but be ready to wait in line and then wait a bit for your drink. But the drinks are delicious and always good quality. I will be back here again soon.

They had a really good spicy chai that you could get hot or cold. They also have a lot of great breakfast options like granola and yogurt as well as a nice array of baked goods.
Good vegetarian and vegan options. we had açaí dishes (açaí sorbet, fresh fruit and very tasty house granola). the only mistake I could find was that I liked a bit more granola. I had a smoothie and my wife the shark bite coffee. both were good. great service. comfortable seating in the open, limited interior.
Java Kai is a must-visit whenever we travel to Kauai. This coffee shop is the best on the island! The breakfast sandwiches and waffles are incredibly delicious, and the coffee drinks are fantastic as well. I also tried the delicious matcha mango smoothie, which was great! Just a heads-up: if your group has more than two people, you might have to wait a bit for a table.
Best breakfast place on the island! loves the Açaí bowl. the ham and egg sandwich is also great! would definitely go back here in kauai.
