Root Coffeehouse Creperie - Kansas

Ordered a peppermint mocha latte and it tasted like it was watered down. I dumped most of it out. My ordered a grande latte and she said that hers tasted watered down also and she dumped hers out. Very disappointed.

Love this place! The atmosphere is wonderful and drinks well made! Anything they make is delicious. That being said I’ve had multiple bad experiences with the baked items out of the case. Root doesn’t make these items and once you taste them it’s painfully obvious. They are usually old, hard and stale. I randomly try different things hoping they have improved but I just got a chocolate chip cookie that was harder than biscotti. My toddler that I bought it for wouldn’t even eat it. They have great coffee drinks and pastries. They will also sell art and other things for a percentage of the sale price. I had a stand of vintage vinyl records there. I came in to collect the money for what had been sold, the girl behind the counter said none of them had sold. The stand was nearly empty. So either they are selling them and stealing all the money, or they are letting the patrons steal them.

Overall great atmosphere. Very good crepes and drinks. Friendly staff, clean area, and bathrooms.
