When I sit on my throne in a small Sleep Inn bath while I sit on my blood Orange Mike's Hard Limonade (which I highly recommend) and eat sour turtles I think back about my time in Ruby Tuesdays just an hour ago. The streets weren't great and we needed a quick bite to eat before our morning flight, so we chose the second place we could find. When we came to the restaurant, two men welcomed us and asked us if there were only 2 of us for dinner, but we were clearly a party of 3 so that was a little embarrassing. We sat at a comfortable table in the corner near a beautiful Sony flat screen TV, probably close to 42. Tonight, Sunday evening was at the top of the football season but all the TVs we had on cbs and the game was on nbc. I asked about it, but nothing to our server said. The temperature in the restaurant was moderate and my mother and sister kept their jackets all the time. I was comfortable without a jacket. After a heavy night of drinking last night I decided a water with my meal would be the game, although all fruity alcoholic beverages looked delicious and imagination. After browsing a very diverse menu, I made the decision to get a hamburger. After a few minutes I changed my mind and ended with ordering the fire wings hot buffalo with one side of fries. My mother and sister ordered the Californian Pasta Primavera and green bean tempura to share bread in a beer batter. While waiting for the food I chose to take a pissah. The bathroom was very hot (near 80 degrees if I had to guess) and the toilet paper was 1ply...safe to say that was not the highlight of my trip. Our food came out, but it was just the Pasta Primavera and Wings. Why this cannon before the appetizer Tempoura might ask you? Then she only brought the tempura to say that the cook forgot the fried beans. I don't understand exactly how this happened, but the beans were still modest. My frits seemed to take a while, so I asked the server where they were...just to find out that she had forgotten to submit the order for her. I was worried that we made a mistake to come here in this cold Missouri night. The frits soon came out and were hot and tasty, comparable to Wendy 's actually. The wings were very spicy and slightly underboiled, but I ripped them off. My mother and sister enjoyed the pasta and said it was light and tasty when I asked how it tasted. We have almost desert, but a last minute change of plan meant no desert for me. All right, I'm trying to watch my weight. She didn't charge us for the fries that seemed fair. And the bill was only $30. I would return as I enjoyed the food and give this restaurant a 7.5/10 or B review. Yes, there were traces of blood in my chair that could come from drinking last night.
My wife and I came out for some quick food and drinks everything came out perfectly the bartender(Derek) was very friendly a little too flamboyant for my taste at times but overall a great experience
Great food. The service is some of the best I've seen in a restaraunt. A little pushy on selling us stuff, but other than that, we loved it.
