We had a great beginning to our meal with attentive service and delicious food. However, when the music started, it was too loud to have a conversation or connect with each other. We likely won't be returning as we value our family time and being able to catch up, which was not possible in this noisy atmosphere. View all feedback.
It was a good time, we went here because they usually do a good job of accommodating large parties. The biggest issue was the food. The rice in my dish had portions that were uncooked which largely killed my appetite after biting down into uncooked rice a few times. Management did apologize and give me my money back for that dish.
I absolutely love this place! The service is always top-notch and the food is always delicious. I highly recommend it! Karen is my favorite waitress, but all of them are incredibly friendly!
One of my favorite restaurants in KC for years now
It is not acceptable to not provide separate checks for a party. Automatically adding a tip is also not appropriate. As someone who worked as a server for many years, I believe that having separate checks makes things easier for everyone. It is not fair to force customers to tip a certain amount; they should have the freedom to tip as they see fit. The server we had today was satisfactory, but she did not deserve a $40 tip, especially since there were five of us dining. Unfortunately, my son accidentally left a $20 tip on the table without realizing that gratuity had already been included in the bill. Our total bill was too high for the quality of food and service we received. We were very disappointed and will not be returning to this restaurant.
Jazz has a fun eclectic vibe. The food is always quality the best oysters on the half shell.
