Delicious bentos and a great place to stop after a day on the beach for some healthy and tasty protein. Wheelchair accessibility: First floor with nearby dedicated parking.
We live on the West side and decided to grab some food before heading home from Kailua Beach. We were craving seafood, so we searched for places to eat and came across Kenko Ya in Kaneohe. We decided to give it a shot! We arrived around 8 PM on a Monday and were seated right away. We ordered a variety of dishes, but the highlights were the Hawaiian, Kaneohe Sunset, and Volcano rolls, along with the sashimi and sweet potato tempura. The food arrived quickly and was well-prepared; the tempura was crispy with just the right amount of breading, and all the sushi tasted incredibly fresh. We also tried the Peach Jinro, and it did not disappoint! Overall, we had a wonderful experience, finished everything on our table, and will definitely return when we're back on the East side! Parking note: Kenko Ya is located closer to Longs, not near Panda Express.
The sushi here is excellent, featuring large, thick slices on the rolls and generous portions of sashimi. The service is outstanding and full of energy. We had originally intended to dine somewhere else, but after discovering this place, we're so glad we chose to go here instead.
