Doldenhorn - Kandersteg

The food was ok, we were there for the kitchen night, a bit of a buffet gimmick, but the food was passable... that said, for traditional Swiss food there is a lot better available in the village... What really annoyed me was the underhand deception about the drinking water. We ordered still water and it came in refillable glass bottles... and then we were charged 8 CHF a bottle for it... this is appalling underhand behavior. When challenging the duty manager at check out, I was told this was typical practice and happened all over the place, and it was their mountain spring and they had to clean the water... Be very careful here...

We loved the food, and the service is amazing! A must go in Kandersteg! Great food and a big choice for good wine!

The personal is very friendly, though not all the same at the reception. breakfast buffet wonderful and also the kitchen in the evening fantastic. also the cake on the afternoon is highly recommended. we had a junior suite with half board in february. for the price I would have wished a little more cleanness (dust on the regalen). the putzperosnal is placed every morning in the room even though we had ordered it. this possibility is super if it works. even on the day of departure they came in at morning, although check-out is only around the bathroom in the room mega. Unfortunately, there are no bathing supplements, which is completely incomprehensible for me. had asked at the reception. got us badefoam in the shop itself. for a little more romantic, it would be expected. the sauna landscape is super and well organized during corona. all in all, a beautiful stay in winter fairy tale

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, wenn auch an der Reception nicht alle gleich kompentent. Frühstücksbuffet wunderbar und auch die Küche am Abend fantastisch. Auch der Kuchen am Nachmittag ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten eine Junior Suite mit Halbpension im Februar. Für den Preis hätte ich ein wenig mehr Sauberkeit (Staub auf den Regalen) gewünscht. Das Putzperosnal ist jeden Morgen ins Zimmer geplatzt , obwohl wir es abbestellt hatten. Diese Möglichkeit ist übrigens super, wenn sie dann funktioniert. Sogar am Abreisetag sind sie um 10Uhr morgens reingekommen, obwohl check-out erst um 12Uhr. Die Badewanne im Zimmer ist mega. Leider gibt es keinerlei Badezusätze, was für mich komplett unverständlich ist. Hatten an der Reception gefragt. Haben uns im Laden selbst Badeschaum besorgt. Für etwas mehr Romantik wäre das schon zu erwarten. Die Saunalandschaft ist super und gut organisiert während Corona. Alles in allem, ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt im Wintermärchen

Personal am Empfang ist sehr freundlich und erklärt auch alles, zeigt einem sogar das Zimmer. Das Zimmer an sich ist schön, jedoch funktionierte die Minibar im Zimmer 205 nicht und es waren leider angefangene Getränke drin, es sah zumindest so aus, als ob eine Flasche angefangen war. Vielleicht wurde das hoteleigene Wasser jedoch auch nicht gleich aufgefüllt. Ein weiteres kleines Manko, die Spinnweben an der Wand wurden nicht entfernt und auch unter dem Bett wurde der Staub nicht gewischt. Könnte man in Zukunft besser machen. Im Grosse und Ganzen jedoch top.
