A bustling Ottawa shawarma spot that divides diners: when it’s good, saj platters, fresh tender chicken, pita chips and hummus win praise and roomy dine‑in family meals satisfy groups. When it falters, patrons report dry or overcooked potatoes, odd‑tasting sauces, inconsistent delivery and high prices. Expect busy service, moderate music and uneven consistency — excellent at peak, disappointing at times.
Food/quality/quantity are fantastic but staff need a pleasantries course don't enjoy the interaction!
The quality is mehh but the sanitary conditions are very low. One time, we got rotten turnips/lettuce in our shawarma plate and my bro got food poisoning. The food is likely old.Poutine also wasn't that good (it was frozen).
Taste is below average, hygiene is below standard. And general atmosphere is not
I tried the new single Saj platter and it was so delicious! Beef with French fries, pickles, and garlic sauce on a home made bread. I have been coming here for years and they are by far the best place I have ever been to. LOVE LOVE and will come again!:
Place was crowded, people seemed to enjoy the food. We had the Falafel plate, which we were no happy with at all. The falafel was bad, the garlic potatoes were dry and had no taste. Would not recommend if you were going there for the Falafel. Only thingswe liked were the Pita Chips and Hummus.
