What a fantastic experience at Moa Kitchen! We dined there on Christmas Day 2021, and the ambiance, service, and delicious Japanese cuisine were truly exceptional. Our server, Ana, was not only efficient but also incredibly gracious, making our meal even more enjoyable. The servers were somewhat unfriendly, but the service was prompt, and our food arrived in a timely manner. Unfortunately, they were out of all yakitori options, so we opted for the chicken karaage, katsu curry, and chirashi bowl. The food was just average. This hidden gem offers some of the best food on the island! We enjoyed fresh chirashi bowls filled with delicious toppings. Other diners were enjoying ramen, which looked scrumptious but seemed more suited for a cooler day.
It’s an intriguing place, but ultimately fell short. The vibe is great and there's a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service lacks efficiency. The ramen doesn't possess the traditional qualities one might expect. However, it's bold and innovative, showcasing a creative twist.
I absolutely loved the yuzu chicken ramen. The soup was my favorite part, and I really enjoyed the chewy texture of the noodles. The grilled rice ball was also excellent. However, the service could use some improvement. In our first round of orders, they missed two items, and when we placed an additional order, they missed items again. On the positive side, the toro sushi was fantastic and melted in my mouth. Overall, this was the best meal I had on this trip.
Stayed at the Mauna kea resort nearby and after spending five times more for every meal, this ended up being the cheapest and by far the best. Wish I would?ve known about this place earlier in the trip because I would?ve came every single day. Best Raman myfamily ever had in our life and service was exceptional! Also celebrated my birthday today? The celebration was over the top!
