Private concierge trying out their dinner. Specialty drinks served in to go cups but beer was served in a more hardy outdoor glass. No glass China plastic plates etc makes sense since it is right behind the beach. I saw the servers bring out things that weren’t on the dinner menu tacos and burger. If these are available why not put them on the menu for everyone to know? Dessert menu not our favorite
We have eaten at Hau Tree probably times over the years. The location is amazing but this time the food was inedible. Two of us ordered the short ribs and not even a steak knife could cut through them. They were absolutely disgusting, The food has never been the reason to eat here but this was a whole new level of awful. Please Mauna Kea revamp this restaurant. Fix the menu, food quality and service it was very busy and our poor waitress was running from table to table and had no one helping her clear dishes, bring drinks, etc. It’s such a great spot but we won’t be back unless the food significantly improves
