5 of us here for the 1st time, friendly staff welcomed us,we had starters and various main meals so we could share, and I can say after trying many different Indian restaurants this was the best so far, coming from the UK I've had plenty of currys and it's been hard to find a good one in Perth, but at last we've found one close to us.We will be back very soon. What Nayeli Koss doesn't like about Gurkhas Nepalese Restaurant:
I’m a huge fan of this place and have been going there since day one. The food is always amazing. Tonight I decided to order takeaway for a change. For people I ordered mains, rice and Naan bread. In the restaurant this would...be plenty of food for maybe even too much. However, the serving sizes in our takeaway were dismal. The goat curry literally had FIVE pieces of meat, and the butter chicken wasn’t any better. W... View all feedback.
Went tonight on an our deal (scoopon .... Now, we have had a few of these and normally they can be pretty ****! Well not this time! The young lady that waited on us, was very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The food was well presented, tasty and portion size was great. Hubby reckons that his meal (Nepalese beef curry could have been hotter, but it was still lovely. My butter chicken was lovely and creamy (and I've tasted quite a few! The garlic naan was to die for and again, great portion size! Will go back to this Nepalese resturaunt and will be happy to pay full price!
Tried this restaurant with my Wife and a couple of friends and was definitely not disappointed. The service was very friendly and everything was nice and clean. All the food we got was full of flavour. Highly recommend the Momo's and the Chef's Special Chicken Curry. Also had the Mixed Vege Curry which was pretty awesome as well. Very Generous portion sizes as well. Worth popping in for a visit!!
Only found out about this little gem when a flyer was dropped in our letterbox. We went to try it out last night and we were not disappointed. The inside was clean and fresh with really friendly staff but the food was the best bit! Good size portions and the best Puri I've had in years. Could not fault anything we had and definitely going back again. The bill was on a par with other places we have eaten. Delicious!!!
Wow what a surprise, this restaurant passed all my expectations. The flavors from their food was unbelievable, you have to give them a try. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would, for the whole dining experience.
This is our third visit to this restaurant and second weekend in a row, and we can honestly say that the food is authentic, with good sized portions and incredibly tasty. We tried Vegetable Pakoras, momo's small dumpling style with chicken/lamb or spiced veggies inside, lamb korma, lamb jalfrezi, Nepalese special chicken curry, and pilau rice for two. We recommend ordering a larger portion of rice. The garlic nan was also fantastic. The dishes came with lots of sauce, which we personally enjoyed. If you are looking for authentic Nepalese/Indian flavor in the High Wycombe, Forrestfield, Midland, and surrounding hills area, give this place a try. If you are a fan of Indian food, you will not be disappointed. - Lee Heather
