We ate there for the first time on Sunday lunch. The starter was a delicious onion soup, the main course was a 350g rump steak cooked to perfection with a homemade Champion cream sauce. My wife had spaetzle with vegetables. Everything was fresh and delicious, prepared without much catering or pre-made ingredients. We had to be a bit slow because the waitress was ill and the kitchen assistant was also serving. But everything worked out. The price was on the high side, but the quality was completely justified. A definite recommendation.
The service was questionable. We somehow didn't feel welcome and left pretty quickly. The food was good. I don't understand it either. Why are there plastic flowers on the table with a napkin underneath? A lackluster salad buffet. If you order a salad plate, you have to pick your own salad from scratch. No green salad. Three shreds of iceberg lettuce, and no one even looks at them. I'd rather get a side salad than something like that. The menu is missing its highlight these days. It couldn't be more boring.
We enjoy coming here regularly. The schnitzel is one of the best in the area. The seating is pleasant. The only thing they could improve is the service, and the wait time could be reduced a bit.
