I ordered pork wontons, beef fried rice and bbq buns. They were all lacking flavor and texture. Especially the beef fried rice was so bland.. Only ordered after the 1st comment said that it’s best chinese food in hollywood. Boy was i wrong…

Decent prices for LA and good staff but food is definitely lacking. The best things we ordered were the spicy shrimp wontons and beef roll pancakes. Flavor was good but the wontons weren't even spicy and the beef rolls were dry with almost no sauce inside. Everything else was severely lacking.The popcorn chicken was chalky and we didn't like the flavor. The tom yum soup was spicy but it had no flavor. There was not even a hint of citrus which is most of tom yum's flavor. The worst thing was the juicy pork dumplings. They had a lot of soup which was nice but the pork had a sour flavor- like spoiled meat.Good spot for a quick bite but most things on the menu are disappointing. It's a chain restaurant so maybe other locations are better but I wouldn't go again.

This food is WONDERFUL!! They served very quickly despite the overflow from the theater after the show.

Watch out when you order any sort of wontons or dumplings here. My boyfriend and I ordered a few different dishes from here thru DoorDash. I took a bite and thought the texture was weird, so I looked at it and found the pork filling was completely raw while the wrapping was cooked. I was really surprised as I have been to other Northern Cafe locations and really liked their food. Although DoorDash gave me a refund, I’m still very hesitant about going there again.
