One of the go to places for live music in the valley. Not large, and even the stage is tiny, but they manage to fit entire bands up there, and the audio in such a small space actually is quite balanced by a great sounds system. I never feel overwhelmed nor struggling to hear the vocals. They always have a wide variety of musicians from punk to rock and county blues. Just check their schedule for something you love. P... I really want to like this place. Their beer selection is kinda cool. Other drinks are too pricey. Bartenders are nice. Parking is easy. And the talent that plays… great. BUT THE SOUND. BUT THE SOUND. it’s fine on Mondays. Too loud, but fine. But on other days I like to go on Wednesday nights — WHAT THE HAPPENED???? Place is somewhat dated, and could use some upgrades, but why change if it works. Feels more 'used ' then 'run down '. Though there may be a need for fresh carpeting in its future. Just being happy this establishment survived COVID is enough to excuse them till things are well past recovery.

BUT THE SOUND. it’s fine on Mondays. Too loud, but fine. But on other days I like to go on Wednesday nights — WHAT THE HAPPENED???? My singer friends are unrecognizable, there’s screechy sounds and feedback and weird distortion and it’s honestly almost unbearable at times. Today it screeched for a good 20 seconds I have never experienced that ANYWHERE. That’s SO LONG to wait to fix a problem. How??? And it’s still too loud. Edit overheard in Maui sugar mill: “I don’t know how this is consistently a problem and management isn’t embarrassed, it makes it so hard to have a good time here”
Great little Dive in Tarzana. Live Music. Cool Crowds. Divey Vintage Decor. Cheap Drinks. Outdoor Tables. Booths by The Front Door. Resident DJ. Pool Table in The Rear. Pretty Ladies. Cool Brotha working Security. Cool little spot in The Valley. Lots of Greasers, Solid White Guys Rockabilly Crowds. Restroom is typical of a Dive. Plenty of Parking. A few Classic Cars and a Hotrod or two in the lot. If any of that is Your Jam, then This Is Your Spot!!!
Blues night at sugar mill. Great time! Resturants all around...good night out,, The legendary Canned heat played.
I loooovvvveeee this place. It's my new fave for warming up my comedy act. A great place for an ice cold beer or martini in a fancy glass. Music is good, and so are the singers, the poets, and the comics. Jerome is the host with the most. Drop in. Stay awhile. Enjoy. Repeat. Repeat. Love it.
