Good food at great prices and super service. My favorite: chicken gorditas. So full of flavor. Also delicious enchiladas with green sauce, flautas with guac and sour cream, and beef or chicken tacos. Love their rice and beans too. View all feedback.
What Annavanriguez doesn't like about La Cocina By: Don Manuel:
The good : It has the old restaurant charm, same waitress that’s been there forever it seems food never changes ,huge portions,no frilly decor, deep fried ice cream is like Heaven in a bowl The bad: The staff is very busy ,food takes awhile to get to the table, sometimes you sit for awhile before you get refills. Overall good food good service View all feedback.
Always hot and excellent quality lots to eat and always have take home. Service is usually good although they are suffering from staff shortages like everyone else
Great service, you have to wait a bit for your food but the reason being, is that it’s all fresh made , you want quality for a great price. You gotta eat here
We asked a local where to find a restaurant that isn't blaring sports on TV for a casual, good food. They strongly recommended Café de Manuel, and commented that it was their favorite for Mexican food. It was a quiet place for a Sunday evening, and Sylvia was our server. She was a delight, and attentive. The menu is fairly extensive with all the classic Mexican appetizer and entrees, so we had a difficult time choosing. They brought out a small bowl of warm chips, a mild, red salsa and a small bowl of creamy bean dip. They were both pretty mild, but they have Cholula sauce for you to zip it up a bit. My husband asked if they had any hot salsa/sauce, and they brought a bowl of green salsa that was a bit spicier (It had a slow burn). The portions are ample I splurged on the #15, which includes a flauta, cheese enchilada and chili rellano, with rice and beans. Everything was very tasty. I liked their red enchilada sauce mild and flavorful. The hubby got the chimichanga and a beef taco, and they served it as he likes it no sauce and plenty of guacamole and sour cream. The guacamole was very good the chimi was crispy. And they use shredded beef (but you can also ask for ground beef). The desserts look yummy but we were way too full to try them this trip. But we will be back! Thank you, Sylvia for such great service!!!
We eat here often. It's the best Mexican food in Casa Grande. The gorditas are truly Gordo! And the enchiladas with green sauce are delicious.
We have been missing out by not eating here before now. My husband and I had the buffet and the food was so good. The tacos and enchiladas were great. We were so full!! The staff is so nice!! We love it!
