Jjajangmyeon craving satisfied! You could tell the black bean sauce was made freshly to order. The fried pork was crispy tender with delicious sweat and sour sauce. We went on a holiday and there’s only 1 person working behind the bar. Yet the service standards are still there. Our food came within 10 minutes. View all feedback.
For noodles, this is the place. Huge portions for only $10 and the noodles and sauce are very good. Not watery or bland. Prices overall are good. Parking is way better than other places and it's in a quiet location. Service was really good for only one lady working late at night. I've been eating black bean noodles since I was a kid and tried many places. Highly recommend this place.
Came here with 2 other people we ordered the jjajjangmyun (black bean noodle), champpong (spicy seafood noodle), and fried shrimp. Everything was really good and we could barely finish it. The jjajjangmyun (black bean) noodles were nice and chewy, the sauce was flavorful without being too salty, and they even put a lot of meat to top it off. The champpong (spicy seafood) broth was very rich and had a deep smoky flavor like it had been charcoal grilled and it also had a ton of mussels, clams, and shrimp. The spicy shrimp came with the sauce on the side which is usually a good sign because that means the restaurant wants you to taste how well the item has been fried and it keeps the food from getting soggy. Our waitress was a very kind ahjumma too who was constantly checking up on us and making fun conversation. Most of the other people dining were Korean ahjussis who looked like they've been coming here for decades so you can definitely trust it'll be good
I had the combo 3 (Jjajangmyun Jjampong kampong shrinmp). Not sure if they were having a bad day....The food was NOT good at all. The Jjampong was bland, no taste, and really lacking any flavor with a bitter after taste. The Jjajangmyun is what i had...was not your typical black sauce but more of a thick pasty brown sauce. i had my hopes up since i read one of reviews stating its better thenKorea but definitely not, Unfortunately, i broke out with Hives 30 minutes after our meal. i had to go the urgent care to have it checled out to make sure i wasn't having any severe reactions. Lickily antihistamines was able to help with controlling the hives and bringing it down. Being a 49yr old korean, I have had Jjampong, Jjajangmyun, kampong shrimp all over ktown for over 40yrs in ktown and never had any alllergic reactions before so I am just hoping it isn't a bacterial inflammation reaction of some sort. The shrimp wasnt too bad but the sauce was definitely lacking..Unfortunately for me, this place aint it.maybe its me..but like i mentioned I have been having these foods for 40 plus years...
