A great representation of classic NJ delis and a great sandwich shop overall.Every sandwich on the menu seems to be thoughtfully created and well executed. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty. From the items that I have tried, what’s stood out has been anything with the chicken cutlet and the crusty, sesame-seeded bread.I will definitely come back to try more menu items. View all feedback.
What Andrea Reinen doesn't like about Ggiata Delicatessen:
Gave me the most wilted veggies on my sandwich. After I reluctantly ate them, I had stomach pain for the rest of the day!! Definitely not worth the ridiculous prices. View all feedback.

It's a small hole in the wall deli on western and Melrose I belive. Service is walk up counter, they must have a lot of to go orders because it was only 3 people there and it took for ever to get my food. The Italian was pretty good, lots of meat, but the bread was really hard. I tried the master piece, which I wasn't a fan of. They have egg plant in it. I'd rather good meats, but again the bread was so tuff. They rave of being a NY style deli but, I've had better sandwiches from authentic pizza spots.

Ordered the Masterpiece. My sandwich was given to me with no meat. When I called they told me that’s how the sandwich comes (no meat). I read them the ingredients listed on the menu and asked what menu they were looking at, the phone was given to a manager.Asked what my options were or if I could come back in and was told the best they would do is take $2 off my next 16 dollar sandwich because, “that’s the price of the meat”Also if you get this sandwich to go, the bread will be soggy because of the moisture coming from the veggies. Would not go back Le Coupe around the corner has ginormous fried chicken sandwiches that ????
My husband is a deli guy. Being from New Jersey, deli 's are the way to go, especially for lunch. We were headed on a 5-hour road trip and decided to pickup some sammy 's for the long drive. Never easy since my husband and I are so specific about our food, even sandwiches...I lean toward fresh, flavorful and talented sandwich crafters. My brother lives in LA and said go to Ggiata you won 't be disappointed and my brother knows knows how picky I can be...It started with checking out the website which is very well done and beautiful esthetically especially for a deli, the site had ambiance and was a great ordering tool featuring real pictures which made it difficult to choose a sandwich with so many delicious looking options. I liked that everything on the website menu was broken down by separate categories, cold or hot sandwiches, sides, drinks etc. Made it really easy to order.I called in the order at busy lunch time and received fabulous phone service, a friendly voice and super helpful... because I always have questions..I 'm big on packaging and branding, this small family owned deli put the effort into the experience of having a Ggiata style lunch, they delivered a beautifully branded sandwich to go, wrapped perfectly, filled with a fresh, flavorful delicious sandwich.Their sandwiches are Xtra large making them worth the price. I never mind spending extra when it 's worth it and Ggiata 's is worth every cent!Thank you for a fabulous lunch experience, keep up the good work and please come to NorCal we need a deli like yours!
