A local Canberra club with a great location overlooking the lake offers a mix of experiences for diners. Despite some disappointing dishes and plastic found in a meal, the club offers good value, great views, and attentive service. While some dishes may not meet expectations, the fish and chips by the lake are highly recommended. With fast service, fresh fish, and a wonderful location, it's a great spot for a summer brunch. Overall, the club provides above average food, competent wine list, and friendly staff in a relaxing environment with beautiful views.

We ordered the Family Pack, and it was absolutely delicious! The chips were crispy, the seafood was fresh, and there was plenty of food to go around. We had a fantastic time with a large group, and the children really enjoyed exploring. We will definitely be returning! View all feedback.

The fish and chips is the go on a sunny non-windy day or when the sun starts to go down in summer. Can be very noisy with young kids running round screaming (mostly having fund chasing birds). View all feedback.
Was there on Sunday to check it out. Great for a Sunday session with plenty of families and a great outdoor area with chairs and grass with views of the lake. Food was ok, not really something to write home about, but the atmosphere and surrounds makes up for it.
Finally, finally finally! Great fish and chips in Canberra and to make it better, it's right next to the lake! It's almost like eating at the beach, but not really, because it is Canberra and it lacks anything close to a beach. Snapper serves crispy and fresh seafood from its humble abode beneath...
By far the best fish and chips we found in Canberra. Great location. Wonderful view. Fast order. Fresh fish. Good crunch and it's not the type of crunch that easily goes soggy. It's the hard you can hear it when you bite the fish piece kind of crunch. And that well seasoned crunch urges you to take another bite. Same to chips. Top up with a cold beer. That makes a perfect summer brunch.
As always, the service was very friendly and the food was excellent. The wine, however, was a bit pricey.
