I had a great experience at this restaurant! The portions were generous and the service was friendly. I ordered a Bel Air burger and was pleased that the server understood my Coeliac requirements. They cooked the beef patty in a separate pan instead of on the grill to avoid cross-contamination. Unfortunately, the gluten-free bun and fries were cooked in the same fryer as gluten, so I had to skip out on those. However... View all feedback.
What Shiru doesn't like about Bernie's Diner:
There are limited vegan options on the menu, but the restaurant does specify which dishes can be made vegan. I tried the veggie burger, made with potatoes, corn, carrots, and other vegetables. It was decent, however, not a substantial source of protein. View all feedback.
I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was friendly. I ordered a Bel-Luft-Burger, and the server was very understanding of my celiac requirements. They made sure the beef pattie was boiled in a separate pan instead of on the grill. Unfortunately, the gluten-free bungalow and pommes were boiled in the same frit as gluten, which was a bit disappointing. However, there were many gluten-free options to choose from on the menu. Overall, a cool spot with good food and accommodating service.
The staff was knowledgeable about allergies but couldn't guarantee no cross contamination. Although the fries were labeled gluten-free, they were cooked in the same fryer as other gluten-containing items. We chose to order the nachos as they seemed to be the safest option.

We decided to switch our veggie breakfast to vegan, which included sausage, toast, beans, mushrooms, spinach, and tomatoes. We also ordered guacamole on the side. The food was good, especially considering the limited options in this small town. They offer almond and oat milk as well.
We ordered the veggie breakfast with vegan alterations, which included sausage, toast, beans, mushrooms, spinach, and tomato. We also ordered guacamole as an extra topping. The food was delicious in this small town with limited options. They offer almond and oat milk as well.
