Wonderful spot to stop at for lunch. Tried the salmon quesadilla and the cacao beef nachos, both were of good quality and the service was good. Nice iced mocha as well. I am yet to try the breakfast menu but they had good looking options. Only downside is that we did not receive water at our table (although we didn't make a request). I would gladly stop here again! Interesting staff, not a dedicated area, but they were happy to create a more clean cutting boards and knives if necessary. Miss12 has wedges and a smoothie.

LOVED IT! We went for the nachos and the chicken tostada for lunch and both were gone in the blink of an eye while the kids meals were equally polished off quickly. Good range of local drinks too. Extensive indoor and outdoor sitting with outdoor both shady and sunny spots really you cant go wrong!!!!
Great food. Had the eggs Benedict and they were great. The soup of the day was very good and the eggs and avocado where tasty. The fresh juice was a nice addition to our meal.
The best breakfast in Kaikoura, hands down. You know how a lot of places do Eggs Benedict, and you taste them and you just end up with that fatty eggy butter film in your mouth afterwards because the cook never read the bit of the recipe that said to add lemon to the sauce? This is NOT that place. The eggs bene have just the right touch of acid, and the wholefoods/health focus that runs through the food means that every thing is INTERESTING. Each mouthful is different to other cafes, in that good way. The hotcakes are about the flavours of the oats and the fruit, not just cream and maple syrup. The hashbrowns are real, and not just out of a packet. The addition of little things like feta and hot sauce cut through the fatty creaminess of the eggs and balance them out. It's little touches like these, balancing out the food, that makes this the best breakfast in Kaikoura. Make sure to get another coffee, they're GREAT.
