When you enter the coffee shop, first thing you notice is a happy owner with a great smile on his face welcoming you. Coffees are delicious. There are little treats look yummy too. I’ve already added this to my fav list for coffee.

The quality of the coffee at this establishment is simply unparalleled. I had the pleasure of trying both the cappuccino and the flat white, and they were absolutely delightful. The rich, smooth texture and perfectly balanced flavors made each sip a true pleasure for my taste buds. The barista's expertise in crafting these beverages is evident, and I found myself going back for more. One aspect that truly sets this coffee store apart is the owner's exceptional hospitality. Not only is he knowledgeable about coffee, but he also possesses a great command of the English language. This is must stop cafe in Kadıköy. Its really the quintessential coffee joint. Whether its for a togo coffee or just a calm chat with friends there is no place better than çekirdek. You can take note that while all the other cafes flash in and out of style closing each year in Kadıköy, çekirdek has remained a community staple. His food/coffee quality and kind face are a cool relief when you just need consistency and comfort in life.

On days when I want a good flat white and not typical Turkish coffee, this is the place to go. Incredibly friendly guy at the counter too!
