### A Mixed Bag of Experiences at Local Seafood Haven
This seafood restaurant offers a diverse menu that has garnered both praise and criticism from diners. While some guests rave about the generous lobster rolls and acclaimed clam chowder, others report lackluster dishes and high prices. Complaints center around underseasoned clams, disappointing oyster quality, and overcooked lobster, with several noting that rival establishments might serve fresher seafood. But service remains a strong point, with attentive staff enhancing the experience. For those seeking a casual atmosphere and a local feel, this spot may still offer hidden gems amidst the inconsistencies. Overall, expectations may need to be tempered based on individual dishes.

Fantastic seafood. The lobster bisque is amazing, it's just satisfying, creamy and well seasoned with tiny bits of lobster. The lobster roll with butter and sherry is incredibly rich and it's a good thing there is a pickle on the side. One of the specials, with mango was found to add a nice refreshing contrast to the lobster. The amount of lobster in the rolls are very generous.
First and last night coming to Chowder Heads. Made the trek up from West Palm Beach as a family of four. Ordered a cup of New England clam chowder which was very very small should be advertised as a teacup of soup and was priced at about of $7. Orderedtwo lobster rolls which on the menu is stated market price no where is the market price listed on the menu or in therestaurant which came out to $34 EACH! Fish chips were good and decently priced but don’t come here for a meal unless youdon’t pay attention to the bill. A wasted $140.
Dinner was simply outstanding! I had the pan-seared scallops with fries, and they were amazing! We also tried the New England Clam Chowder, which I highly recommend. The outdoor seating was comfortable and pleasant, and I appreciated being able to bring my dog along. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!
Good service, food was very good. Lobster bisque soup, good. Shrimp, scallops and fries very good. Appetizer of shrimp cocktail also very good with XL Shrimp. Prices are high for such a casual place, but you get what you pay for.
This was my first and last visit to Chowder Heads. My family and I made the trip from West Palm Beach as a group of four and were excited to try the food. We ordered a cup of New England clam chowder, which turned out to be tiny—more like a teacup of soup—and cost around $7. We also got two lobster rolls, but while the menu listed them as "market price," it didn’t specify what that price was. To our surprise, they ended up costing $34 each! The fish and chips were good and fairly priced, but I wouldn't recommend coming here for a meal unless you want to be shocked by the bill. Overall, I felt like we wasted $140.

Been wanting to check this place out. We live far in west wellington area so it's like a 45 minute ride. Wife and I decided to take three of our youngest kids 17,16,13 for a road trip this Labor Day to enjoy our day off together. Exceeded expectations and expectations were high. Great little spot. Greeted and seated immediately around 3:15 by the window. We took sometime to look over the menu as our first visit. We all tried something different. Crab roll, NE Clam Chowder, Fried Shrimp, Fried Chicken, Lobster roll. Everything was outstanding. Chef prepared great plates. Wife and I and girls really enjoyed everything we tasted. Portions are generous, food came right from kitchen to our table really fresh and hot. We tried apple crumb dessert which was also very good. Server was super polite, helped us navigate our choices. We like to eat out around 3pm cause as a larger family it's easier fir us to get seated but we didn't know they have a lunch menu available til 4 which is good to know. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and would definitely come back as a family again. Made our Labor Day day off a fun something different excursion. Even have some leftovers for tomorrow.
The food was outstanding and definitely worth the trip. My favorite soup is New England clam chowder, and this was one of the best I've had. It's a quaint little spot, and the service was great. I would definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.
Great service good food. Place is small but accommodating. New England Clam chowder was good, better than most in Florida. Lots of clams and potatoes.

Fantastic seafood. First we started with Bluepoint oysters, THEY DO NOT SERVE CRACKERS WITH THEIR OYSTER. I wish I had known before ordering. The lobster bisque $8.50) is amazing, we added the lump lobster $23) and sherry $1) to ours. The lobster roll $35) with butter and sherry was very good. The amount of lobster in the rolls are very generous. The service was very friendly. The restaurant is very charming, and clean.
We visited Chowderhead for the first time and had an amazing experience. The food was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. I initially thought there were several cooks in the kitchen because our dishes came out so quickly and were served hot. To my surprise, there was only one chef, who was both efficient and talented. I would definitely come back and highly recommend Chowderhead for a great meal.
I ordered lobster bisque and New England clam chowder for takeout, and my food was ready for pickup exactly on time. The soup containers were the nice, heat-retaining type, which was a lovely detail. As always, the soups were delicious. The staff was exceptionally friendly as well. We visit this restaurant a few times a year for lunch or dinner, and I think their fish dishes surpass those of many other highly rated places in the area.
Next, I sampled the Fried Clam Strips (2/5). Unfortunately, they were entirely flavorless. Even when paired with tartar sauce, the clams were underseasoned, and adding salt and pepper failed to improve the taste. Lastly, I ordered the Lobster Roll (1.5/5). I'm usually a fan of the cold version, but I accidentally opted for the hot one this time. It ended up being mushy, and you have to add the mayonnaise yourself. To make matters worse, the lobster had an off-putting fishy aftertaste, which was quite disheartening. In summary, I left feeling disappointed with the overall experience and felt that the $63 I spent was not justified.
Exactly what I have been craving!! I heard their ad on the radio heading down I-95 for work and when they said they were from Bahston and it was Real New England Seafood and they had Steamahs!!! I had to stop and i am so glad I did!! Great Boston memorabilia on the walls and unbelieveably Delicious seafood!! Cup of clam chowder 4 out of 5 could be thicker 1 pound of steamah clams 5 out of 5! Whole belly fried clam roll 5 out of 5 And a lobster roll to go for later in the Hotel!! I will definitely be back!!

Excellent LOBSTER roll. French fries were outstanding. If you like Lobster this is the place to go.
This place is one of my favorites. Very family oriented while being romantic at the same time. They really made it cozy. The food is amazing and the waitresses are very accommodating with great personality. A little gem for sure!
First time dining at Chowder Heads. Food was fantastic. Service was fast. Would definitely go again.
Ordered delivery and food was terrible. Too expensive for what you receive french fries were store bought and cold. I order delivery weekly and food comes warm, good portion and good cost but this was not the case here. Called the restaurant to discuss this and got attitude from the person. Will never order from there again.Food: 1/5

We had a wonderful experience at this charming little restaurant we stumbled upon, known for its delicious clams. The personal service was exceptional. The atmosphere was small and picturesque, and we truly enjoyed our time there. We had lunch and I recommend making a reservation, though the wait wasn't too long even without one.
This is a cool place with a unique character. The food was excellent. It was a bit under-occupied, which led to slower service than what I would consider ideal.
Always a delicious “New England” meal. Lobster is served partially cracked so it’s much easier to enjoy. Menu seems to have expanded so there’s something for everyone. If not a fan of creamy chowder, try the Rhode Island version. Delicious!
