Arrived close to closing because it was so light out we didn't realize the time. We were welcomed and seated at a very nice table. Our waitperson was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu options. I had the stuffed salmon in a pastry shell and my girlfriend had the pesto linguine with seafood and sun dried tomatoes (shrimp, scallops, crab, and halibut) with fresh veggies (salmon) and a homemade bread knot. This restaurant is temporarily closed due to the pandemic, but they did a special opening for our tour. They prepared halibut with a butter/caper sauce and roasted chicken breasts. We had a very good caesar salad and garlic toast and other sides which I did not try. The food was wonderful! The owner was so pleasant and accommodating and the wines were wonderful. It was our farewell dinner in Juneau and I just regret that I live a thousand miles from this restaurant as it would be our weekly go-to place. I hope that they make it through the pandemic and reopen with their wonderful menu intact. The pizza smelled incredible; sorry we didn’t get to try it too. Good luck to them!
My brothers and I had a great time dining outside at the Twisted Fish! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the waiter she laughed and joked with everyone at our table. She made our experience delightful.
We had a quick stop in Juneau before a helicopter tour and it being my first time on a helicopter and not sure if I’d make it back in one piece, we decided on Twisted Fish for lunch beforehand in case it ended up being our last meal. It was delicious! I love a lemon butter caper sauce and the chef prepared it with halibut by request and it did not disappoint. After conquering my fear of getting on a helicopter (and safely landing), we decided to go back the same night for dinner. This time we celebrated with Alaskan king crab, cocktails and dessert. OMG the crab was amazing!! It’s definitely on the pricey side compared to back home but it was so worth it. Highly recommend getting the crab.
Te quality of food and serving sizes are great. Our group had the Crab Flatbread, King Crab Taco, Clam Chowder Fish n' Chips ... worthy of sharing for the table and licking every crumb!
