Pretty decent hotel in a nice location walking distance to the shops, breweries, and docks. There was only a box fan and no air conditioning so it was difficult to sleep even with the windows open, made easier only because the bed was extremely comfortable. The tub was clean and a massage shower head was the newest thing in the bathroom. There was ample space but not enough bright lights in the room to use the mirror... View all feedback.
What Matt Harrington doesn't like about Baranof Downtown, Bw Signature Collection:
Rooms were sufficient but small. Parking was very narrow but that's downtown Juneau for you. I'm also not sure how a 3 star hotel gets away with no mini fridge or microwave. Breakfast isn't served early enough for normal morning flights and no coffee. I had some issues getting a receipt after the stay and the communication was poor, however, the manager did follow up after I left my initial review so I upped my initi... View all feedback.
We were glad we stayed here due to its central location. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. The room is tiny but clean. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets smelled like fresh air. It’s very pricey, but so were all the places I searched.
Stayed at this property for a night the room was spacious and clean; however the bathroom had no hot water and there was no shower gel. Breakfast was nothing to write home about — not to mention waiting about 45 minutes to get my order. On the positive side: I and my travel companions complained about the experience and got 80% refunded. I overheard a gentleman at the front desk also complaining that he hadn’t showered in 3 days due to lack of hot water.I won’t be coming back here again.
Try Air B B instead! We went to one after we left here! We were at this hotel on business for a job interview. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke when we first walked in. After unpacking the smell became nauseating. Our room was extremely hot but the heat would not go off so we called the front desk and the lady said maintenance has to turn it off and we are too busy to turn the heat off for you right now, open your window and we will get to it later. (Said with an attitude and no apology) It was late at night and I highly doubt they were too busy that late. We opened the window and the stench of Marijuana filled our room so much my teen daughter became sick to her stomach. So either we suffer with heat blasting or suffocate from the weed. The person in the room next to ours was on the phone until 2am and it sounded as if they were in our room they were so loud. I read the replies to other comments from the hotel about the economy rooms (as an excuse for paper thin walls) I do not call $950 for 3 days economy, nor do I say that 's an excuse for bad customer service, lack of heat control, thin walls and cigarette odor. The hotel listed hotel parking that did not need a reservation (what a joke) parking may have 20 very tight spaces but since there wont be any of those open spots, you have to hunt for a spot on the street. The location is good for restaurants and bars but I wouldn 't walk around after dark unless in a group. As far as Juneau goes, we love it!Rooms: Very small, no microwave or mini fridge.Safety: Don 't walk alone after darkWalkability: Very walkableFood drinks: Plenty of options

The tub was clean and a massage shower head was the newest thing in the bathroom. There was ample space but not enough bright lights in the room to use the mirror outside of the bathroom. We had breakfast in the restaurant and some patrons had buffet card credits but we didn't and just bought entrees. I highly recommend the French toast covered in cinnamon and honey butter... It's like a cinnamon bun. They also have a luggage room to help if you need to checkout before your cruise or flight.
