De Vergulde Lantaarn - Jordaan

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast on our first morning in Amsterdam. We shared apple cinnamon pancake mushroom, ham and cheese omelette, both generous portions and yummy. This meal kept us going all day! My only suggestion is a larger cup of coffee would be nice. I'm a coffee lover.

This is one of our favourite places to eat lunch. It's on Nieuwendijk, which runs parallel to Damrak, not far from the Centraal Station. It is quite small, quaint and very nicely decorated. There is seating on two levels if it's busy downstairs you usually get asked to go upstairs where it's quieter. There's a good choice of food and there's always a daily special. The panini are very good, as are the pancakes, English breakfasts and the tomato soup. The staff are friendly and attentive and the service is very quick. Both the drinks and the food are very reasonably priced for a Cafe in this area. Worth a visit!

Wouldn't recommend for breakfast spot. Maybe have to try and see for dinner. Breakfast selection very few and far.

My family and I ate at this restaurant 3 nights in a row! We absolutely loved this place, it has a very nice atmosphere and great food. We ordered the same thing every night, it was that good! We recommend the green pea soup, the special pizza and the special burger! The staff was very welcoming to us as well and remembered us. Must visit if you are in the area!

Came in here randomly with some friends while in the area for brunch. A nice, quaint place that seemed to make the food even better. I tried the bacon, mushroom and cheese pancake...and Amster-dam it was good! Recommend!
