Sidewalk Cafe - Joondalup

What a difference can make a person. I have always been a regular customer in sidewalk caffe but for the last 6 months or so I have noticed a great difference in this small business every time when I go for a coffee, it seems to be a new employee there. I think there are probably only 3 or 4 long staff there now in comparison to a few years ago, which is not good when trying to build good relationships to customers one because I was curious about why this was and why sidewalk caffe could suddenly not keep the staff, but I think I'm starting to recognize why. my theory is that this can be up to the manager/owner. In the shopping center lakeside there are many restaurants, joondalup and the side walk cafe have just become a favorite of me. I have to go through a million times and have dismissed my head when the children have starved and I go to the food court area. side walk cafe is located in the main entertainment area lakeside, where the food shops are coles and woolworth. they have a beautiful little demarcated against, so they feel like they are in a street café that passes the buyers. what my daughter got in this thing were her unicorn cupcakes. What a difference one person can make...... I have always been a regular customer at Sidewalk Café however for the last months or so I have noticed a big difference in this small establishment. Every time I to go for a coffee there seems to be a new staff member there. I think there is probably only or long serving staff there now compared to several years ago which is not good when trying to build good relationships with customers. For a while I was curious to why this was and why Sidewalk Café suddenly couldn't keep staff but I think I am now starting to realise why...My theory is this may be down to the manager/owner. (A short older woman with grey spiky hair) From what I have seen in the last few months this woman is lazy, rude and defiantly not a team player. Having worked in Restaurant Management most of my life I know the importance of delegation and staff supervision. Two attributes this woman does not appear to possess.

There are plenty of eating options at Lakeside shopping centre, Joondalup and the Side Walk Cafe has just become a favourite of mine.  I must have walked passed it a million times and dismissed in my mind when the kids are hungry and I head to the food court area. Side Walk Cafe is situated in the main entertaining area of Lakeside where the grocery shops Coles and Woolworth are.   They have a lovely little sectioned off area so you feel like you're in a street cafe watching the shoppers pass by.   What caught my daughters eye on this occasion was their Unicorn cupcakes.   I tried to persuade her to go elsewhere or try something else to eat but insisted!   S o we ordered the Unicorn cupcake and a cup of tea for me and sat done and watched the hum drum of the shoppers walk by.   Little Miss nearly got a touch messy with the cupcake but I think that was all the fun : The menu of food on offer is really good and includes gluten free bread and other GF choices.   Find other family friendly cafes and restaurants in Perth
