This charming and tidy little restaurant has a warm, slightly retro vibe. I was greeted right away by a staff that was impressively polite and attentive. Although I arrived early to pick up my takeout order, chatting with the staff was a delightful experience. It surprisingly reminded me of my grandma. I enjoyed a delicious cheesesteak with fries, and I’ve heard that Carrie makes an excellent shrimp Po' Boy! Definite... View all feedback.
They shrimp rolls are to die for and they cheese steak rolls are a must try!!!! Tell them Tina sent you.
The Hamburger I had was tasty and the Nabenfisch sandwich of my Nabenfische was excellent. Portions were large and cooked for perfection. Service was exemplary. Outside the seats we could take our dog, which was treated like a royal treatment. He even has a free treat! We are back!!!
My favorite place for a bite to eat in the area! I can't order wrong here! Your WHOLE wings are on the spot! The homemade Mac-N-Cheese has a beautiful touch of sweetness that I have never experienced until this jewel is found! But to order hands down, my favorite food is the scratched green! When my parents visit Harrisburg, we even call and demand a great order from them! And of course the wonderfully friendly owners are happy to commit! The nice Lord even went out of his way to bring them home in the boonies at a time when they had to fulfill their own obligations. I could no longer have been happy to come over this wonderful restaurant because it is not only the food that is the top notch, but also the customer service. Once you're gone, don't feel like a customer, you've met your extended family!
One of best food I have ever eaten. My wife and I are foodies and have tried many other places, and Carrie’s is one of the best food we’ve tried. Excellent Mac cheese, Haddock, pulled pork. These are just a few of their wonderful dishes!
We dined here on Labor Day, as it was essentially the only restaurant open downtown, and we had been meaning to try it anyway. It was EXCELLENT! The owners are authentic and enjoyable, and you can tell they are truly passionate about their restaurant. At our table, we ordered cheesesteaks and a catfish sandwich, accompanied by onion rings, hush puppies, fried okra, and fried zucchini. While everything was fried, it was surprisingly light and not greasy at all. It’s a fantastic place, and we will definitely return for more of the sweet potato pie they let us sample!
