When our main dishes came out, my fish and chips were served piping hot, forcing me to wait before I could eat. The fish was placed on a small portion of fries in a bowl lined with brown paper, and the whole dish was swimming in grease. I had to move the fish aside just to retrieve some fries that weren’t soaked in oil. Unfortunately, the fries were nearly inedible because of the grease. As for the fish, the breading was thick, greasy, and bland. It seemed like the oil was old or that the fish hadn’t been drained properly before being served. With a price tag of nearly $11, I expected better quality from a restaurant specializing in seafood. The shrimp pasta was served lukewarm, suggesting it had been prepared earlier, and my fish and chips were rushed out. The dish included crunchy onions that unfortunately had an unpleasant taste. While there were plenty of shrimp, they were rather small. Our server was friendly and she did manage to get the manager to adjust the temperature of the food, which is the only reason I’m giving this restaurant a two-star rating instead of one. Overall, the food seemed hurriedly prepared with little care, and the prices were high for the quality provided. This was our first and last visit. After discussing with friends who have also eaten here, they expressed similar feelings, and we wish we had consulted them beforehand to avoid Bonefish. Given its location near the interstate, I suspect they will continue to serve overpriced, low-quality food for some time. If you're looking for better corporate seafood, I'd recommend going to Red Lobster instead.
