Shoney's - Johnson City

Bad communication between front of the house and the servers. Our server didn't even know we had been sat down until she went to clean a table and saw us. I got the French toast with strawberries, the French toast was amazing but the strawberries were mushy and had an extremely strong smell that my husband could smell from across the table. I've never eaten there before so I don't know if they were just having a bad day or what but I will probably not be going back.

I should have known better to go in, considering there were very few cars in the parking lot. The only thing that was good, was the salad bar and fried chicken. I paid almost $20, I feel like I was robbed and I learned my lesson. First time in a Shoneys in 40 years, back in the day it was incredible. A lot of the food looked like it was leftover from the day before and tasted like it. I hope this doesn't make me sick later.

The food wasn?t good at all. The biscuits and cinnamon rolls were hard as a rock. The bacon was overly cooked. The only good part was the manager, Chuck was professional and handled the issue very well. The food was terrible, the manager was great.

Decided to eat Thanksgiving dinner here, waited about 15 min for a booth the food was good but the crowd was almost too much... got there about 1:00 but should have waited till about 3:00... might try Golden Corral next year.

Lots of food options. Clean bathroom. Because everything is so tight, wheelchair accessible is available but very difficult. Some of the table tops need to be replaced but the food is excellent. Clean bathrooms.
