My fiancée and I dined here on October 1st, and we ordered a Hawaiian pizza. As a pizza enthusiast, I take my pizza seriously, and I can say that the service at this restaurant was excellent. While I would have preferred a thicker crust on the pizza, I must admit that out of the 200 pizza places I’ve visited over the last 40 years, this one ranks in my top five. The pizza was fresh, full of character, and the texture... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Luke's Pizza:
The condition of the building and its cleanliness were quite disappointing, but the food made the wait worthwhile. The bread was soft, warm, and perfectly seasoned. The calzone and breadsticks were fantastic, while the garlic knots, which were overly dark and crispy, and the extremely thin pizza didn't meet our expectations, leading us to leave most of them uneaten. The meal was quite pricey, totaling nearly $45. As... View all feedback.
After an hour wait for our pick up order of 2 orders of chicken wings (understandable as it is Saturday), we got home only to find we were given 8 wings in one order and 9 in another when each order is expected to come with 10 according to the menu. On top of that the wings were somehow cold although we arrived a few minutes early to pickup and waiting for the order to be completed.
Order for an entire nursing team with great order. The food was delicious and the lady we talked to on the phone was funny and friendly! Definitely our new go to pizza and wing restaurant!! Bones in and boneless and wow delicious!
Placed an order about an hour and a half before closing, not sure if the folks that work there were in a rush, however my pizza ended up looking like it was rushed and burnt and did not taste as it normally does. I ordered a SPECIAL which was $24.99 for a large pizza, 2 liter, and garlic knots. However was charged $32 and still am not sure why. After I called to ask about the change in the price, the guy on the phone said ?I didn?t ring you up? and then HUNG UP the phone. Confused by what just happened, I called again and was hinged up again, called from my friends phone and they did not answer. So earlier today I called and spoke with the owner/manager lady who did not know who was on staff last night, and just wanted to refund my $5-$7 back to my card. For us it?s not about the $5-$7 that was mistakenly charged, it?s about customer service and the quality of the food. Would like to have a better experience next time since we?ve ordered many times and we?re never treated this rudely and never had such awful looking pizza.
We ordered one simple pizza through their Bite Squad delivery service. It was just a large pepperoni pizza?nothing special about it. We love the taste of Luke?s Pizza and were really anticipating eating it for dinner. About 45 minutes after we submitted the order we got a call from a Bite Squad delivery driver saying that Luke?s Pizza said they were way too busy to make our order and would just refund us. How were they way too busy to make one pepperoni pizza? If they were too busy to even make my order then maybe they should not be on Bite Squad. My money is supposed to be refunded, but they said it could take up to three days?? This is ridiculous. I?m not sure that I?ll be back to this restaurant. This ruined our dinner.
Best of the locals so far. Week 6 of trying a new pizza place each week after moving to the area. This place is a case study in the importance of crust. The crust, more than any one thing, differentiates most obviously. Excellent crust and easily the best of the spots I've tried so far. Their weakness is the sauce the second most important IMO. For most places, the sauce usually just doesn't standout enough to make a difference. This is pretty much true here but the sauce does bring things down just a bit but this is a nit. The other issue for me is that there was not enough pepperoni, which is a common problem. There should be pepperoni in every bite. Also tried the garlic knots, which were quite good and an indicator of pizza crust quality. The venue is typical for the area. Not exactly a first date kind of place, but clean. Service was very slow because they were extremely busy (its the crust! . I was there nearly an hour and a half. Next time I'll try to go at time other than peak. I'll probably return (crust was really good . But I have a lot of other pizza joints to try first.
