Hill Country Cupboard - Johnson City

We had a great time at this brunch spot. The service was excellent even though we had a large group. Our server was very fun and energetic. I gave the food four stars because opinions within the group were mixed - some loved it while others thought it was just good. Overall, I would recommend this place and would definitely return in the future.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food and the service from the waitress were exceptional. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which comes in three sizes (small, medium, and large). Even the small size is a generous portion! No matter which size you choose or what sides you pair it with, you will not be disappointed.

We had an amazing breakfast and the waitress was very entertaining! We will definitely come back again.

CAUTION: As soon as we walked through the door, it was clear that this place was strange. We were seated by a child who appeared to be around 8 to 10 years old. The bathroom was not functioning properly, the temperature inside was uncomfortably cold, and the food was in need of improvement. The breakfast we ordered lacked seasoning and the eggs were unappetizing. Our waitress, Sonya, continuously spoke negatively about the owners and the state of the restaurant. She made inappropriate comments that should not have been shared with customers. Overall, we will not be returning. If you are seeking quality service and good food, I recommend looking elsewhere.

I had one of the best chicken-fried steaks I've ever tasted at this restaurant! The fried okra was also delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty down-home country meal.
