Unfortunately I came into this restaurant with really high hopes, but only what I liked was the design of the place and the location. we've kept up before, but... read more Unfortunately I came into this restaurant with really high hopes, but only what I liked was the design of the place and the location. we've kept up before, but they couldn't find it and gave us a random table. Although the people came to us on the next table, they had drinks when we saw the menu when they knew what I mean. Price/performance is unfortunately bad again, because if they want to give 28€ for laughing, they want to see that laughing on the teller, not some creepy jungle. fish and pommes were in order. red wine came really warm, which is a really common mistake and easy by looking for the wein type and servier temperatures on google (or leave the wein in the refrigerator while we waited 30 minutes on food) unfortunately I do not recommend this place, unless they are satisfied with some burger and beer combination.

Views are stunning to the river as Kerubi is situated on an island in the middle of the Pielisjoki. Kerubi had good location between downtown and train station. There is a large patio for a better weather. A lot of parking space. Food was delicious! Plenty of different salads, two mains, soup, everything was good! They make everything, including bread in house. This time dessert was cake. Lucky me! This place also has a rock club downstairs and frequently live music. Also meeting rooms for large gatherings.

Also the waiting t... read more It was obviously a bad day for the Kerubi staff. There was a constant hassle with the orders and many portions were sent back to the kitchen. Also the waiting times were quite long. We ordered three meals: one of them was the most popular burger in this place called Tykki(Cannon) burger, it was tasty, no problems. Also the veggie(oumph) version seemed to be ok. With the chicken burger we faced some problems: there was lots of sauce, way too much and the chicken itself tasted peculiar. We told the waitress about the issue; she was very sorry and gave us a 20% discount for the price of the portion. Well, maybe some coffee/dessert on the house would have also been nice. A very mediocre experience this time; what a pity. Hopefully it was only a unfortunate exception.
