Very comfy place. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The corn bread was my favorite. We had a large family and a few kids and Larsen Monique and Shantee were more then helpful to accommodate us. For was well hot and very tasty. First time to Jersey City and a friend recommended we eat here. Glad we didFood: 5/5 View all feedback.

I was visiting my sister-in-law and we needed breakfast! The Old Fashioned French Toast, Golden Buttermilk Pancakes, Three Eggs Any Style, and Bacon were a perfect choice for our family. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection; everyone enjoyed their meal. The hot coffee was just what we needed! Overall, it was a fantastic breakfast!
I had the deluxe burger with black-eyed peas and rice, and the black-eyed peas were fantastic—definitely a taste of Southern soul in that dish. The burger was delicious, but I asked for mayonnaise and there was way too much; I ended up wiping a lot of it off. They really need to use a sturdier bun because it fell apart while I was trying to eat it. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the fries since they were over-fried and hard. Next time, I'll request less mayo and skip the fries.
I had a terrible experience with the fish! It was greasy and the potatoes were soggy and completely lacked seasoning. They were just mushy and tasteless, with no onions or peppers. I definitely would not recommend this diner. To top it off, the pancakes were also poorly prepared—they were undercooked in the middle.
Salmon cakes, grits, corn muffins are all my favs from this establishment.
Great food, though the time estimate was way off and I received tomato I didn't ask for and plastic/sauce packets I didn't ask for. For me it was just frustrating and a matter of preference, but if it had been a medical reason to avoid tomato it could have been a real problem. I'm sure they were just really swamped and made an honest mistake but I wanted to stress the medical importance of adding unexpected food stuffs.
