What Deborah Basile doesn't like about Polka European Market Deli:
I went to buy sauerkraut pierogis and was told they only had sauerkraut and mushroom so that is what I thought I was getting. Got home and cooked them and they are cheese. Wrong filling. This store has gotten really bad with the food have been disappointed on my last couple of trips. Needless to say I will not be going back. This place is good, and very European in good and service. Day outside with the dog for over an hour, enjoying good authentic food and beer. No one bothered us for the check or when are you going. Sourkraut was washed and cooked with pork, peroggies were home made and a variety of flavors; we had them sautéed in butter! Marred was spicy and also homemade. Service was leisurely but friendly and welcoming. We'll be back.
We stopped by for a package of kishka and ended up with a dozen of them. They were so kind and helpful. We are from Sarasota..any chance of opening a satellite store there?? Ha! Will come by every time we are in town. This place is a gem!
Food was delicious, authentic and a lot of variety of beers on tap. Would highly recommend.
Family business with a great flair of Polish culture and great food. The restaurant has a wonderful bar and tables with a menu which reflects all sorts of Polish delicious food. The store next door is always fresh sausages, cheeses and home made Polish food items such as pierogi, gołąbki and cakes! They also provide fresh bread and eggs. A real treat!
Bought several dozen perogies for Christmas Eve and nut rolls. No complaints. We will be back.
