I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The owner was a really nice gentleman who seemed well-traveled and had some fascinating stories to share. The staff were cool and polite, making us feel like we were chatting with old friends in a relaxed setting. Typical deep fried fare with booze if you want it. Service was not very good, but it was Super Bowl Sunday so maybe she was distracted. It was almost empty though, so not sure why we needed a buzzing coaster to notify us when our shrimp and chips were ready. They tasted like boxed breaded shrimp dipped in Budweiser. We had an amazing stay here! Owner Tim and staff are super friendly. Economy room 119$ a night. Be warned, room is very small. Ideal for a couples romantic weekend getaway. Double bed, no fridge or microwave (no problem for us). Meticulously maintained grounds. We are super appreciative to be able to stay over here for that price. Food was excellent both times ..hot and tasty fish and chips. Allowed me to add grilled chicken to garden salad no problem. We will be back for sure! Sunsets were priceless.
The people make the place! Super friendly with great attitudes! The hot tub was a major plus after long drive in.
