But like all ge... read more There is a gem located in Jenkintown and it 's a restaurant called Keep. You may have passed by this small charming sized restaurant many times. But like all gems, the more valuable the stone is. Its twice as harder to find. Well I did the searching for you, now all you have to do is dine here. This restaurant is a BYOB, and that is always a fun thing for me. Upon entering the restaurant you notice how beautiful it is. Right away your greeted by a very friendly hostess, and promptly seated. Looking over the menu you begin to notice everything looks amazing, so my wife and I ordered quite a few things. Lentil fritters- reminds you of Falafel.. loved the sauce with it Cauliflower salad- reminds you of potato salad.. amazing (spicy). Brussel sprouts- amazing.. never had it with a cheese sauce before. Gnocchi Carbonara- very tasty Baba ganoush- amazing. Half Chicken- chicken melted in your mouth Salmon- loved the crispy skin Everything about this place was great. What impressed me the most about Keep is this. There is only two people working this restaurant. Because of covid the hostess (Veronica) is also the waitress. Even with the extra responsibilities, Veronica performed her duties with professionalism and grace. The chef (Mike) is the very humble owner. I can only imagine, how much time it takes to prepare the cooking and plating of the food. It 's not a reach to say, it 's a very time consuming process and takes alot of patience. Mike cuts no corners and spares nothing so you can enjoy his creative entrees. To him it 's just his way to be artistic, for me I came to appreciate art in it 's truest form.
