I am so hearty that lutz’s is no longer in Colombia, but I am more than happy to make the trip to jefferson city for my lutz’s repair. The homemade chips are to die (highly recommend the cajun and sweet potato chips,) the pulled huh is always perfect, and the rolls that they use for their sandwiches are incredible. I'm also a big fan of her KC sauce. lutz’s is a great victor for the central missouri View all feedback.
Without a doubt, this is the best BBQ in town, but the prices are starting to climb for a self-service, self-seating establishment. The chips are absolutely amazing, and the BBQ sauce is perfect!
You have to try the pork Cuban sandwich. It’s unbeatable in Jeff City, especially when paired with their homemade chips—my favorite are the parmesan flavored ones!
I absolutely loved it! The rib dinner was fantastic, the sides were very good, and the prices were reasonable. Be sure to try the homemade chips!
Slackers loves Lutz's. I get the fish basket with salt and vinegar chips. If you like fish (or even just think it's OK), you should try it. Here's the kicker--they make their own tartar sauce. This isn't the mayonnaise-consistency nasty stuff you get from the store, they make it in-house, and it is great. It has a good onion-y taste, but it isn't overpowering. I thought I hated tartar sauce until I had their stuff. <br/ <br/ Their barbeque is also great, but that almost goes without saying. Bandana's will taste like ash in your mouth in comparison (I cite Barbeque Chicken Nachos from Bandana's as evidence, which is a disgusting concept and even worse execution).
Best Q in Jeff City. Lutz's beats every other bbq restaurant in town. Their ribs are outstanding.
