Let me assure folks this place is very good. Just like bar-b-que, there are a lot of different styles of Mexican food. The comment made by Bonnito might lead you to think this place is horrible. I think he should have said I prefer traditional Mexican food . What User doesn't like about El Sazon Mexican:
We ordered a combination of Burrito. At first they didn't even know what it was. When I explained it was meat, beans, rice and cheese. She said you wanted all this in Burrito. I said yes. We brought her home and started eating her. The worst Burrito I've ever had. A tortilla with a huge amount of cheese, a few tablespoons of rice and even less beans. We enjoy dining here as a family. The food is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is always inviting.
I walked in and the girl who seated us was very rude; she slammed the silverware on the table and then walked away. A few moments later, while we were patiently looking over the menu, another couple was seated right next to us. They received their drinks immediately, and the waiter came to take their order, while no one had even acknowledged us yet. The hostess and a waitress just stared at us. We finally decided to get up and leave. I’ll never know if the food is good because I won’t be going back. It was such an odd experience, and the disrespect was uncalled for.
The parking lot was packed, which is always a positive indication. The restaurant was bustling on a Sunday afternoon, but we were seated promptly. Chips and salsa were brought to us quickly, and they were delicious. We both ordered beef taco salads, which arrived in no time and were also quite tasty. The check came swiftly, and checkout was efficient. The only downside was the ambiance; the ceiling definitely needs some attention, and the overall interior could use a refresh. My husband mentioned he wouldn't return for that reason.
Hands down-on the top 5 of Mexican restaurants. Thumbs up!
