The chocolate cake is THE BEST cake I've ever put in my mouth, and I've had a lot of cake growing up with a mom who was a professional cake decorator! The cake was moist and light, and the icing was rich chocolate and fluffy. The server was super friendly and attentive. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
I don’t think I’ll come back to the low gap and it’s a big bummer for me. We’ve been thrice. Once at the old location, twice at the new. The first time, I ordered a seafood pasta which left me wanting. I figured this was an off day. There were no other customers in the restaurant- maybe that should have been a clue. The second time, the new location did not have the fryer open and what we had was fine, but not the chef driven meal I was expecting. This last time was the straw that broke the camels back. We went for Valentine’s Day and ordered the pre-fixe menu. No prices were on the menu. This was my fault for not asking. The meal consisted of: scallops, salad with tuna tartare, soup, beef Wellington, and pistachio truffles. The price- $299/2 people. With tax, tip, and the lovely credit card fee that they pass on to customers, it was $401 for two people without alcohol. To give you an idea: there’s nothing special here besides the food. For the price charged, I would have expected at least a cheap white tablecloth and some glasses. Instead we drank out of commercial Pepsi cups and had to look up the menu to remember what everything was. No one explained the food. We never saw the chef. The scallops were undercooked and the so was the beef Wellington. Both me and my partner have been blessed to eat at some wonderful restaurants. This price was not worth it. I was in shock at the sticker price. I asked my sister to call and confirm price, as there would be a Friday seating. She was told that they didn’t even know the price and they were still figuring it out because they ran out of cream spinach (really? this is the cheapest part of the meal and easy to make. This shouldn’t be a problem and they should know the price before service. What should have been a wonderful special treat felt like highway robbery.
