Previously I had had excellent experiences at Elijah's. Maybe tonight was just a bad night. Three of the seven seven people served at our table had terrible food. The steak was terrible quality, one over cooked and one under cooked, pork chops were overcooked, baked potatoes and steamed carrots were practically raw. Everyone else's food was pretty good. Service was terrible. Very slow and took about 25 minutes to be seated because we were a party greater than six. I never received one of my sides and refills were hard to come by. Server did state that they were out of cornbread but did not offer the typical rolls either.
The chicken fried steak was GREAT! Gravy was an A+ and I reccomend the fried okra along side the whole kernel corn! All for a price of 12.99!?! Can't beat that hardly anywhere anymore! Waitress was tentative and very kind! We will be returning customers! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
We ate here 2 different times and the food was so good. I highly recommend it. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Baked Potato
It is the only place in Jasper that has decent food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We were seated immediately and the waitress was attentive, but she didn't actually listen to the things I asked for. For example, I asked for separate bowls of ranch for each person for the cheese fries. She brought one. The food was mediocre on seasoning, but was cooked per order. The prices seemed a bit high. It was $51 for 2 adults and 1 child. Service: Dine in
