Contribute Feedback What Jennifer W doesn't like about Smokin' Hot Bbq:
Although their food is pretty good, they can't seem to run their business properly. They are always running out of food, closed when they are supposed to be open, and don't answer their phones. It is sad because I prefer to support local business, but not when it is as poorly run as Smokin Hot in Jarrell. View all feedback.

By no means were the young men working there this evening rude, but it was obvious they'd rather be somewhere other than there. It was our first time there, and my husband ordered a Pit Boss...they forgot to put the sausage in it. I ordered 2 sides, 2 meat plate w/ ribs and lean brisket, potato salad and broccoli slaw. Brisket was a bit tough, ribs were tender and tasted okay w/ the BBQ sauce but it wasn't as good as I hoped from reading the reviews. The potato salad was bland, but the broccoli slaw was tasty. The restaurant was mostly clean. As far as service goes...well, he brought our food and we never heard from him again until we went to pay and he was a bit involved on his phone so I patiently waited a few seconds until he noticed me. : That's okay, I'm willing to give it another try, maybe for lunch sometime when I don't feel like driving too far from home...but not really impressed. I'd rather drive to either Georgetown or Salado when I'm not pressed for time.
Food was good just a little dry for my liking but not bad at all. Will be returning :
