The menu primarily features meat dishes, but they do offer two different vegetarian options. The lentil soup, Greek salad, and large falafel are all wonderful choices. I particularly enjoy the falafel wrap for on-the-go. This is also a good option for those who are hungry for meat, as they offer more than just vegetarian plates. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Plaka Greek Cafe:
Both vegetarian dishes contain milk, but they will make substitutions. The stuffed grape leaves were delightful and a full order of four is quite generous. The lentil soup was tasty, although a bit salty. Unfortunately, the bread for the falafel wrap contains milk powder. The food was satisfactory and affordable. The menu is mostly meat, but they have two different veggie plates, wonderful lens soup, Greek salads and large falafels. I also love having a falafel packaging in a drive. It is also a decent option if you have hungry meat eaters and you want a place with more than just one Veg plate option.
Don't let the outside of this place fool you. Everything about this place is amazing from staff (customer service) to food. My husband had the gyro plate (not shown) and I had the gyro combo (image) with the baklava (image). The portion sizes are great! You will definitely get your monies worth and then some. This place is 5 hours at home, but I'm going back to DEFINITELY (and again)
Yummy and fresh food. The best thing about them? They have a drive thru!!! Staff is bilingual which is a plus!
This is not your typical sit down restaurant Grab your tray, get your food, pay for it and sit down. Good quality food and portions rice, soup, pita were good, grape leaf dolmas a bit too dry, reliable service (with some language barriers), Decent atmosphere. On a scale of 1 10 with 10 being best Food 8 Service 8 Atmosphere 7 Value 8
Great Greek food. Tried the combo meal with gyro meat, chicken and a meatball over rice with a Greek salad. Yummy. Only downside is they only do take out and drive thru orders. But it's a nice change from the usual Mexican restaurant or bbq fare in Georgetown.
